  1. Arms
    1. Arms stout, moderately long; arms II about 40-50% ML.
    2. Arms I short, others nearly subequal; arm formula: II=IV=III>I.
    3. Distal tips of arms not attenuated.
    4. Arms III with well developed aboral keel.
    5. Armature in 4 rows (quadriserial) on all arms; suckers small, uniform in diameter.

  2. Tentacles
    1. Tentacles slightly longer than arms.
    2. Tentacle clubs short (about 50% of TL); narrow with well developed dorsal keel.
    3. Tentacle clubs with more than 10 rows of minute, uniform sized suckers; sucker rings with 3-4 rectangular teeth distally and a small broad tooth proximally.
    4. Tentacle clubs with only slightly larger suckers in median area of manus than in marginal areas.
    5. Locking-apparatus with series of alternating small suckers and pads on dorsal margin of club.

    1. Head short, compressed.
    2. Eyes large.
    3. Occipital crest with 3 distinct longitudinal folds on each side of head.
    4. Buccal membrane with 7 lappets; suckers absent.
    5. Radula with 7 teeth per transverse row; rachidian tricuspid; 1st lateral bicuspid.
  4. Gladius
    1. Gladius with small primary conus.
