Gomyopsis
Gomyopsis kuscheli
Michael S. CaterinoIntroduction
Gomyopsis is a monotypic genus of Chlamydopsinae, known only from Fiji (Dégallier, 1984), and the single species G. kuscheli. It is known from a single specimen, and nothing is known about its biology, though it is almost certainly myrmecophilous.
Characteristics
Gomyopsis is characterized by the elevated lateral ridges on each elytron, as well as by the reduced elytral trichomes (relative to other Chlamydopsinae) and peculiar lateral pronotal depressions.
